Interviews, gathers, records and investigates current affairs and public issues, and reports them in newspapers, on radio and television and in other media. News editors are also included.
Main tasks
- Gather historical material and local and international news through interviews, investigation, observation and attending public events
- Gather, report and comment on news and current affairs for newspapers, magazines, radio, television and online media
- Interview politicians and other public figures at press conferences and on radio, television and online
- Report on developments in particular fields such as medicine, science or technology
