How to become a Legal and Related Associate Professional
Official title: Legal and Related Associate Professionals
Helps legal professionals prepare legal reference material in courts or law firms, or provides legal services relating to insurance contracts, property transfers and other financial transactions in banks, insurers and companies.
Main tasks
- Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, complaints, wills and contracts; record court proceedings and judgments
- Help legal professionals investigate the facts of cases, gather evidence and look up relevant laws, judgments and other legal documents
- Examine documents such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements and contracts to confirm legal ownership of property
- Prepare documents for transfers of real estate and shares and other registrations
- Investigate suspected cases of theft, information leaks and unlawful conduct by customers or staff on behalf of businesses
Ways in
- Technical college: Technical and vocational college programme. Universities of science and technology and junior colleges run departments in related fields: law (0421). Departments in academic year 114 (2025-26): four-year technical bachelor's (四技) 1, two-year technical bachelor's (二技) 2. Fields matched to the occupation by Peernovo.
- Licence (national exam): Regulated profession. To practise as a land administration agent you must pass the national Professional and Technical Examination (專門職業及技術人員考試) for 地政士 and hold the certificate. Listed in the annex to article 2 of the Enforcement Rules of the Professional and Technical Examinations Act, item 19.
