Designs and develops manufactured products and clothing.
Main tasks
- Discuss design concepts for consumer products such as clothing, textiles and jewellery with clients
- Prepare sketches, diagrams, specifications, plans, samples and models to communicate design ideas
- Work with clients, managers, sales and manufacturing departments to solve problems
- Prepare and commission prototypes and samples, and supervise patterns, plans, tools and the manufacturing process
