How universities in Canada work out your average
Most Ontario universities use your top six Grade 12 U or M courses, including the courses the program requires. Universities in other provinces use their own combinations of Grade 12 courses, and Quebec universities admit CEGEP graduates using the R score (cote R). The program's admission page says exactly which courses count.

Which courses count in Ontario?
Usually your top six Grade 12 U or M courses, and they must include the program's required courses. Some programs also set minimum marks in particular courses.
Is this my official average?
No. It is an estimate from the marks you enter. Universities calculate the official average from the marks your school reports.
What about Quebec?
Quebec students usually go to CEGEP after Secondary V, and Quebec universities admit them using the R score, which this calculator does not work out.
