Promotes community health through implementing culturally safe educational programs and assisting outreach health services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Main tasks
- Supports or undertakes health assessments
- Implements community health education initiatives
- Develops and evaluates primary health care programs for clients
- Maintains clients' health records
- Supports clients' awareness of, and participation in, necessary health care
- Participates in outreach health services
- Provides cultural education to Health Professionals who are not of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background
