Determines and oversees implementation of artistic policies for a performing arts organisation such as a theatre company, dance company, music ensemble, festival or venue.

- Develops and implements artistic vision for performing arts organisations
- Selects and approves artistic programs and productions

- Oversees planning and scheduling of artistic events
- Manages artistic budgets and resources
- Evaluates artistic programs and performances
