How to become a Baking Factory Worker
Operates machines and performs routine tasks to make, process, wrap and package bread, cakes and other baked products.
Main tasks
- Operates baking machines to mix and knead dough for bread, cakes and other baked products
- Monitors baking process, and adjusts temperature and timing as necessary
- Loads and removes baking trays and tins from ovens, and allows baked goods to cool
- Operates slicing machines to slice bread and other baked products
- Wraps and packages baked products for storage or sale
- Cleans and maintains baking equipment and work area
- Adheres to health and safety regulations and practices in the baking factory
