How to become a Civil Celebrant
Conducts civil marriage ceremonies, funerals, commitment ceremonies, namings and other ceremonies, and maintains appropriate records.
Main tasks
- Meets with clients to discuss ceremony requirements and preferences
- Assists clients in planning and designing personalised ceremonies
- Conducts civil marriage ceremonies, ensuring all legal requirements are met
- Conducts funeral ceremonies and provides comfort to grieving families
- Conducts commitment ceremonies and other significant life event ceremonies
- Maintains accurate records of all ceremonies performed
- Stays updated on laws and regulations related to civil ceremonies
