How to become a Concrete Products Machine Operator
Operates machines to manufacture moulded concrete products such as cement pipes and fittings, concrete railway sleepers, concrete bricks, tiles and paving blocks, structural beams, building panels and cast products.
Main tasks
- Sets up and prepares machines for operation
- Monitors and adjusts machine settings to ensure proper operation and quality of products
- Feeds raw materials into machines and removes finished products
- Inspects products for defects and ensures they meet quality standards
- Performs routine maintenance on machines, troubleshoots and resolves machine malfunctions and issues
- Records production data and maintains production logs
