How to become a Construction Site Supervisor
Also called: Building Site Manager, Building Site Supervisor, Construction Foreperson
Supervises and organises the daily operations of construction sites, and coordinates the material and human resources required.
Main tasks
- Coordinates and schedules construction activities, including the delivery of materials and equipment to site
- Oversees and directs construction workers and subcontractors
- Implements and enforces safety protocols and procedures on construction sites
- Reviews and interprets construction plans and specifications, and inspects construction sites to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
- Collaborates with Architects, engineers and other professionals involved in the construction process
- Conducts regular site meetings to communicate project progress and address any concerns, and resolves any issues or conflicts that arise
