How to become a Contract Administrator
Also called: Contract Officer
Prepares, interprets, maintains, reviews and negotiates contracts and contract variations on behalf of an organisation.
Main tasks
- Develops, reviews and negotiates contracts and contract variations, ensuring compliance with company policies, and laws and regulations
- Reviews insurance requirements
- Resolves contract-related enquiries and issues
- Manages and maintains paperwork associated with contracts
- Oversees work by contractors and reports on variations to work orders
- Manages contract renewals, extensions and terminations
- Prepares and reviews organisational activity submissions and reports
