How to become a Credit Risk Manager
Identifies, assesses and manages risk associated with the credit activities of an organisation to minimise potential losses.
Main tasks
- Assesses credit risk within an organisation and makes recommendations on the management of identified risks
- Reviews and recommends updates to existing credit risk policies and procedures
- Monitors client portfolios to identify, avoid and manage changes that create risk, and ensures compliance with existing credit and risk policies
- Manages, tests and improves automated credit risk tools
- Analyses and provides feedback to credit risk analysis teams on their work on credit applications
