How to become a Patient Transport Officer
Provides transport services to and from health care facilities for non-emergency patients.
Main tasks
- Provides routine and non-emergency transportation of patients to and from health care facilities
- Transports essential equipment and materials, including wheelchairs and stretchers
- Provides and administers basic care to non-emergency patients
- Maintains comprehensive and accurate patient transport records
- Works with patients, relatives, Health Professionals and other emergency service providers to ensure optimal patient care
