How to become a Shed Builder
Also called: Shed Erector
Builds and installs shed foundations, framing, walls, roofing, doors and windows, and performs the appropriate internal and external finishing.
Main tasks
- Measures, marks out, excavates and levels the ground for shed foundations
- Constructs shed foundations using concrete or other suitable materials
- Constructs shed frames, including walls, roofing, doors and windows
- Applies external finishing to sheds, such as paint or stains
- Installs internal finishing such as insulation, plasterboard and flooring, to sheds

- TAFE and VET: Certificate III in Timber Frame or Truss Manufacture (FWP30920); Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology (MSF30322); Certificate III in Joinery (CPC31920); Certificate III in Shopfitting (CPC30120); Certificate II in Construction (CPC20120)
- Licence or registration: Registration or licensing may be required.
