Plans, organises, directs, controls and coordinates the operations of a wholesale trading establishment.
Main tasks
- Develops and implements strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share
- Monitors market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and threats
- Determines pricing and discount structures for products
- Oversees the selection and purchase of stock to ensure adequate inventory levels
- Maintains supplier relationships and negotiates contracts
- Develops and implements marketing and promotional activities to increase sales
- Manages the storage and distribution of goods to customers
- Prepares and presents reports on sales, financial performance and market trends to senior management
