How to become an Ethnic Minority Medicine Pharmacist

Buys, stores, processes, tests and prepares the traditional medicines of China's ethnic minorities, and guides how they are made and used.
Main tasks
- Buying medicinal materials of Tibetan, Mongolian, Uyghur, Dai, Korean, Zhuang, Kazakh and other ethnic traditions, and guiding herb processing and the making of ready made medicines
- Overseeing and checking the quality of ethnic medicines and testing samples
- Handling the buying, selling, storage and management of ethnic medicines
- Making medicinal materials into forms such as pills, powders, pastes, distillates, honey pastes, medicinal wines, tablets, capsules or liquids
- Preparing hospital medicines and checking prescription combinations, quality stability, effectiveness and toxicity
- Helping doctors with medication, checking, preparing and double checking prescriptions, and monitoring the brewing of herbal medicines and testing their quality
- Giving out medicines to patients and explaining what to watch for when taking them
- Keeping dispensing records and making sure medicines are available for patients
