Manages cabin safety on civil aircraft and looks after passengers.
Main tasks
- Checking the cabin's safety equipment
- Showing passengers to their seats, counting them, and explaining flight safety and how to use the onboard safety equipment
- Checking that service supplies, food, drink and meals on the flight are up to standard and sufficient, and checking cabin cleanliness and water supply
- Giving suitable care to babies, pregnant women, passengers with disability, older people and others who need special help
- Giving passengers emergency first aid with onboard equipment and leading safe evacuations in emergencies
