Researches and designs castings, casting processes and specialised foundry equipment, guides production and controls casting quality.

- Researching sand casting and all kinds of specialised casting methods
- Designing casting processes and cast products and drafting technical plans
- Researching and improving specialised foundry equipment such as moulding machines, core making machines, die casting machines and moulds
- Developing and improving binders, moulding sand and other foundry materials
- Guiding production and overseeing product quality across melting, pouring, sand mixing, moulding, core making, shot blasting and fettling
