Uses tools, gauges, test instruments and equipment to collect data from, monitor and maintain industrial robots and their work cells or systems.
Main tasks
- Checking and diagnosing mechanical parts, including peripheral equipment, the robot arm and end effectors
- Checking and diagnosing electrical parts such as electrical controls, drives, power supplies and wiring
- Servicing robots, work cells or systems, such as zero point calibration, dust protection, battery changes and lubricant changes
- Collecting operating values, working status and other data with measuring equipment for monitoring
- Analysing, diagnosing and repairing faults in work cells or systems
- Writing system operation, maintenance and repair reports
