How to become a Mediator
Official Chinese title (2022 occupational classification): 调解员
Also called: Employment Disputes Mediator
Works for a lawfully set up mediation body, handling people's mediation as well as industry and administrative mediation.
Main tasks
- Looking out for and spotting signs of conflicts and disputes
- Helping parties reach mediation agreements and settle disputes through persuasion, education and advice
- Running legal awareness campaigns
- Logging disputes, keeping mediation statistics, choosing cases to report and managing records
- Overseeing how settlement and mediation agreements are carried out
