Provides education, counselling and services on family planning, healthy pregnancy and other reproductive health matters.
Main tasks
- Explaining China's population situation, birth policies and the basic public health services the state provides
- Explaining how to choose contraception with full information and sharing knowledge on infertility, preventing birth defects, maternal and child health and sexual and reproductive health
- Counselling on sexual health and reproductive diseases in urban and rural communities, homes, schools and workplaces
- Counselling on contraceptive and sterilisation procedures
- Collecting reproductive health information and assessing the results of counselling, services and programmes
