Main tasks
- Installing, testing and configuring all kinds of network equipment, such as transmission, access, data, mobile and satellite equipment
- Inspecting, maintaining and testing network equipment
- Analysing, tracing and fixing network equipment faults
- Handling network installation and activation, fault repair and quality assurance
- Analysing network performance and supporting network optimisation
- Protecting equipment and assessing risks, and checking services, equipment and networks for hidden problems
- Coordinating telecoms construction work and cutovers
- Setting up emergency communications equipment, activating, maintaining and repairing it and fixing faults
- Testing new systems and equipment before they join the network
