Also called: Chlorinator Operator, Titanium Tetrachloride Purification Operator, Molten Magnesium and Titanium Slag Operator, Liquid Chlorine Vaporisation Operator, Titanium Sponge Retort Assembly Operator, Titanium Sponge Reduction and Distillation Operator, Titanium Vacuum Melting Operator
Turns titanium rich raw materials into titanium sponge by chlorination, purification, reduction and distillation, then melts it into titanium and titanium alloy ingots of various shapes.
Main tasks
- Mixing petroleum coke, high titanium slag and other materials into a blend
- Making crude titanium tetrachloride by chlorination, dust collection, condensation, settling and filtering
- Cleaning tail gas and treating slag and collected dust residue
- Purifying titanium tetrachloride in distillation columns
- Cleaning, assembling and leak testing reduction and distillation retorts
- Refining crude magnesium and feeding it into the reduction reactor or casting it into ingots
- Reducing titanium tetrachloride with magnesium and separating titanium sponge by vacuum distillation
- Removing, peeling, crushing, screening, blending and argon packing titanium sponge
- Batching and compacting titanium sponge and master alloys
- Melting materials in vacuum melting furnaces and solidifying them into ingots
- Removing ingots, turning them and moving them to storage
- Maintaining equipment, clearing faults and keeping production records
