Buys travel services and works out prices, designs and delivers tour products, coordinates bookings, monitors service and settles accounts at a travel agency.
Main tasks
- Checking routes on the ground and designing and improving tour products to suit tourists and the market
- Getting quotes, booking and paying deposits for transport, accommodation, meals and other services
- Calculating tour costs and setting product prices
- Planning product marketing and promotion and gathering market information
- Assigning tour guides or leaders and confirming every part of the itinerary for each route
- Coordinating the response to incidents while groups are on tour
- Checking, confirming and settling tour payments and unexpected costs
