Entrants include new graduates from high school, university and elsewhere, and people changing careers. After joining a dealership, most people first take basic training at the carmaker's training centre or similar. Then, during a basic training period at the dealership, they learn about cars in general, the law, selling, registration and collecting payment, and learn the practical side of selling by visiting customers with senior staff. A driving licence is needed for test drives and deliveries. You need to communicate well with customers and build trust. You spend a lot of time out visiting customers, so drive and physical stamina are also needed.
