Quality control/assurance engineer establishes standards and policies to ensure the production and maintenance processes and manufactured products meet regulatory and customer requirements. He/she conducts internal or external quality audits and investigates work-induced defects. He/she performs root cause and corrective action analysis and monitors the implementation of preventive actions.
Main tasks
- Establishing standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection and maintenance according to engineering principles and safety regulations
- Inspecting plant to improve and maintain performance
