How to become an Accounting Associate Professional

Official title: Accounting Associate Professionals

Maintains and checks a business's accounting vouchers and records.

Main tasks

• Keep complete records of all financial transactions following general bookkeeping and accounting standards, and check that vouchers are correct
• Use accounting software to keep accounts and do related calculations to prepare financial statements

Ways in

• Technical college: Technical and vocational college programme. Universities of science and technology and junior colleges run departments in related fields: accounting and taxation (0411). Departments in academic year 114 (2025-26): four-year technical bachelor's (四技) 10, two-year technical bachelor's (二技) 3, five-year junior college (五專) 3. Fields matched to the occupation by Peernovo.
• Licence (national exam): Regulated profession. To practise as a bookkeeping agent you must pass the national Professional and Technical Examination (專門職業及技術人員考試) for 記帳士 and hold the certificate. Listed in the annex to article 2 of the Enforcement Rules of the Professional and Technical Examinations Act, item 34.
