Aquaculture workers breed and raise aquatic animals and plants such as fish, shellfish, crustaceans and algae.
Main tasks
- Apply fish farming techniques and knowledge to raise large numbers of fish, shellfish and crustacean fry
- Farm fish, shellfish, crustaceans, algae and other aquatic animals and plants in fresh water or seawater
- Maintain optimal growing conditions for aquatic animals and plants and prevent disease and parasites
- Prepare and repair farming equipment; buy feed and other supplements

- Technical college: Technician certificate: Aquarium fish farming. National technician skill test (技術士技能檢定) run by the Workforce Development Agency, trade 130 水族養殖. Tested at grade C (丙級). Peernovo links this trade to the occupation.
