Sets up and maintains networks and other data communications systems.
Main tasks
- Maintain network systems and fix faults
- Maintain non-network data communications systems
- Identify the need for equipment and software upgrades
- Install computer hardware and software such as networks, operating systems and applications
- Start up and shut down networks, and carry out data backup and recovery
