Dairy products makers make cheese, butter and other dairy products by hand.
Main tasks
- Boil or pasteurise milk to reach a specified butterfat content
- Curdle raw milk, heat it to the required firmness, drain the curd and press cheese into shape
- Place cheeses on racks and turn them to cure
- Inspect and sample dairy products before packaging and make adjustments where necessary to monitor quality
