How to become an Electronics Engineer
Official title: Electronics Engineers
Researches, plans, designs and directs the building and maintenance of electronic systems.
Main tasks
- Design and plan electronic systems, and supervise and control their operation
- Set control standards and procedures to make sure electronic systems and equipment run efficiently and safely
- Design circuits and components for aircraft guidance, instrument control, radar, remote control and other electronic equipment
- Develop installation methods and procedures for testing electronic components, circuits and systems
- Choose suitable hardware and software, and design and develop signal processing methods
Ways in
- University department: Engineering degrees, Offered by 93 universities in Taiwan
- Licence (national exam): Regulated profession. To practise as a professional electronics engineer you must pass the national Professional and Technical Examination (專門職業及技術人員考試) for 電子工程技師 and hold the certificate. Listed in the annex to article 2 of the Enforcement Rules of the Professional and Technical Examinations Act, item 16.
