Main tasks
- Plan and design telecommunications systems and equipment, and supervise and control their operation
- Plan and design communications networks based on cable, optical fibre and wireless media
- Choose suitable hardware and software, and design and develop signal processing methods
- Design distribution systems for telecommunications networks, radar and television
