Food service counter attendants serve pre-prepared food, or food made on the spot from a few ingredients, at counters in food outlets and sell it to customers.
Main tasks
- Serve food to customers at the counter
- Find out what food customers want and help them choose and order
- Clean, peel, slice and trim ingredients using manual and electric utensils
- Prepare simple dishes from a few ingredients and reheat prepared food
- Serve food on plates directly to customers; pack takeaway food and take payment
