Insulation workers install and repair insulating materials in buildings, boiler pipes, refrigeration systems and air-conditioning systems.
Main tasks
- Install insulation boards or sound-absorbing materials in walls, floors and ceilings
- Blow insulating or sound-absorbing material into cavities in walls, floors and ceilings using powered machines
- Apply insulating material to exposed surfaces of boilers, pipes, tanks and similar equipment
- Fit insulation to refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment
