Official title: Roofers
Roofers cover roof structures and waterproof and insulate them, laying tiles, fibre tiles, slate and synthetic materials, applying bitumen and fitting metal roofing.
Main tasks
- Determine the materials needed from plans, specifications and the site
- Cover roof frames with slate, tiles and prefabricated tile sheets
- Install waterproof sheeting and fix metal or synthetic materials to the building frame
- Cover roofs with natural materials such as thatch
