How to become a Pharmaceutical Technician or Assistant
Official title: Pharmaceutical Technicians and Assistants
Helps pharmacists dispense and prepare medicines in pharmacies, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies, or sells non-prescription medicines in pharmacies.
Main tasks
- Prepare medicines under the direction of a pharmacist
- Dispense medicines as prescribed by doctors and veterinarians, and label them with directions and warnings
- Make sure medicines are stored in suitable and safe conditions
- Fill containers with medicines and attach labels
