How to become a Senior Government Official
Official title: Senior Government Officials
Sets the policies, plans, laws and regulations of central or local government, and plans, directs, coordinates and oversees government activities. Members of the Control Yuan and Examination Yuan are also included.
Main tasks
- Decide or set government policy and plan how programmes will be carried out
- Set objectives for government departments in line with government laws and policies
- Review, evaluate and approve documents and reports submitted by junior managers, and control budgets
- Report on policies, plans or budgets to the Legislative Yuan and to county, city, township or municipal councils
- Oversee how government departments interpret and enforce policies, laws and regulations
