Official title: Senior Officials of Special-Interest Organizations
Sets the policies, plans and rules of non-government organisations, and plans, directs, coordinates and oversees their activities, for example as a senior manager of a political party, social group, professional association, farmers' or fishers' association, or industry and trade body. Senior managers of non-profit foundations in education, culture, charity, research or international exchange are also included.
Main tasks
- Set the organisation's policies and rules
- Plan, direct, coordinate and oversee the organisation's general business and the work of its departments
- Control budgets, review the organisation's operations and results, and report to the board, council and funding bodies
- Negotiate on behalf of the organisation and its members to advance their interests
