How to become an Electronic Engineering Technician
Supports and assists Electronics Engineers and Engineering Technologists in circuitry design, testing, data collection and analysis, and assembles circuitry of electronic systems.
Main tasks
- Collects data, performs analysis, and maintains and repairs electronic systems
- Conducts tests on components and equipment to ensure functionality and performance in line with industry standards
- Assembles circuitry and electronic components according to engineering specifications
- Assists Electronics Engineers and Engineering Technologists in designing and developing electronic systems
- Installs, configures, calibrates and adjusts electronic instruments and equipment
- Documents test results, data analysis and circuitry assembly procedures
