How to become a Metal Engineering Process Worker
Performs routine tasks in manufacturing metal products.
Main tasks
- Performs assembling and dismantling operations, such as screwing and bolting
- Operates hammers, presses and cutting and shaping tools to manufacture and repair fabricated plant and equipment
- Solders and spot welds components using spot- and butt-welding machines
- Assembles metal components using various techniques such as welding, riveting and soldering
- Inspects finished products for quality and compliance with specifications
