Main tasks
- Plans and organises musical performances, including selecting repertoire and arranging rehearsals
- Conducts choirs, orchestras, bands, ensembles and opera companies during performances
- Interprets musical scores and communicates artistic vision to performers
- Collaborates with Composers, arrangers and musicians to create new musical works
- Auditions and selects musicians for ensembles and orchestras
- Provides guidance and feedback to musicians to improve their performance
- Coordinates with venue staff and technical crew to ensure smooth execution of performances
- Promotes and markets musical performances to attract audiences
- Manages budgets and financial resources for musical productions
