How to become an Industrial and Electric Furnace Assembler

Also called: Industrial and Electric Furnace Mechanical Assembler, Industrial Furnace Fuel System Assembler
Assembles, tests and inspects the body, hydraulic, water cooling, gas, fuel, electrical and control systems of industrial and electric furnaces with tools, instruments and tooling.
Main tasks
- Checking furnace installation datums and civil or steel foundations with equipment and tools
- Assembling furnace structures and hydraulic and electrical systems with cranes, insulation resistance testers, hydraulic flushing machines and hand tools
- Installing fuel systems with lifting equipment and welders
- Checking assembly quality with instruments and fixing assembly defects
- Commissioning furnaces with instruments and tools and checking the appearance of electric furnaces and the assembly quality of drive and control systems
- Maintaining instruments, equipment, jigs, fixtures and gauges regularly
