主な業務
- 機体の耐空状態を把握し、各システムの通常操作と特殊な状況での対処を復習して、個人の証明書類を確認する
- 規定に沿って燃料、潤滑油、酸素、搭載機器、書類と記録簿、故障の処置状況を点検し、整備担当者の署名による出発承認を確認する
- 航空士が乗務しない便では離陸と着陸のデータカードを記入する
- 手順に沿って機体の各システムを操作し、チェックリストを読み上げて一項目ずつ確実に実施する
- 故障などの特殊な状況では、まず原因を判断して機長に報告し、機長の指示に従って対処し、記録を記入する
- 飛行経験をまとめ、機体の故障状況を報告する
