Plans, directs, coordinates and oversees teaching and administration in schools, preschools and other education institutions.
Main tasks
- Decide education programmes within the framework set by education authorities
- Direct student affairs and school administration, evaluate teachers and monitor school performance
- Set and enforce discipline rules to create a safe environment that supports learning for students and teachers
- Manage administration such as budget planning, report preparation and spending on supplies, equipment and services
- Oversee the selection, training and performance of staff
