Plans, directs, coordinates and oversees social welfare programmes such as income support, family assistance and other welfare services.
Main tasks
- Oversee the social welfare agency and the services and facilities it provides
- Set operating rules and standards for staff
- Manage and evaluate social welfare service resources
- Manage administration such as budget planning, report preparation and spending on supplies, equipment and services
- Liaise with other welfare and health service providers, boards and foundations to coordinate joint health and welfare programmes
- Oversee the selection, training and performance of staff
