Main tasks
- Advise the public on taxes and their related rights and obligations
- Check tax returns, sales records and other documents to determine tax and other amounts payable
- Review tax returns, accounting records and financial statements, or carry out field audits, to make sure tax law is followed
- Prepare tax investigation reports and penalty decisions for tax violations
