How to become a Trade Broker
Official title: Trade Brokers
Buys and sells commodities at auctions or on futures markets on behalf of companies or clients. Shipbrokers are also included.
Main tasks
- Set up contracts between buyers and sellers of goods
- Discuss clients' buying and selling needs with them and give advice
- Prepare auction catalogues and negotiate on spot or futures markets on behalf of clients
- Find cargo space or arrange storage for goods, and negotiate freight charges, transport methods and storage fees

- Technical college: Technical and vocational college programme. Universities of science and technology and junior colleges run departments in related fields: international trade, marketing and advertising (0414). Departments in academic year 114 (2025-26): four-year technical bachelor's (四技) 14, two-year technical bachelor's (二技) 3, five-year junior college (五專) 3. Fields matched to the occupation by Peernovo.; Technician certificate: International trade. National technician skill test (技術士技能檢定) run by the Workforce Development Agency, trade 200 國貿業務.
