Operates and monitors computerised control systems and related machinery for treating wastewater, sewage and incinerator waste, and operates liquid and gas transfer equipment.
Main tasks
- Operate and monitor computerised control systems and related machinery for treating wastewater, sewage and incinerator waste
- Monitor and adjust incinerator auxiliary equipment to control emissions and heat recovery
- Collect clean water and wastewater samples and test them for chemical and bacterial content using testing equipment
- Analyse test results to adjust machinery and systems, and disinfect and deodorise water and other liquids
