Official title: Chemical Engineering Technicians
Assists with chemical engineering research and supervises the design, building, operation and maintenance of chemical plants.
Main tasks
- Help develop and improve chemical and physical processes for commercial use
- Estimate the quantity and cost of materials and labour needed to build and install chemical plants
- Provide technical supervision of the building, installation, operation and maintenance of chemical plant equipment
- Apply chemical engineering knowledge and experience to help find and solve practical problems
