Carries out technical work assisting in the design, development, building, installation and maintenance of electrical equipment.

- Assist in research and development of electrical equipment
- Estimate the quantity and cost of materials and labour needed to produce and install electrical equipment
- Provide technical supervision of the production, installation and maintenance of electrical equipment
- Apply electrical engineering knowledge and experience to help find and solve practical problems
